First of all i'd like to greet users of this forum, kids and adults, professionals and lamers, geeks and hipsters. Hello my fellow windows seven brothers. Seven is the way to go forever, until windows 9 maybe.
Now to the purpose of my registration here and posting.
I have windows 7 perfectly setup on my shiny haswell desktop computer, though i now realize i want it to boot using uefi (please don't ask why). I am able to do a clean install again, but will it be possible for me to recover my windows backup (including: system image and windows settings) which i created using native image creator in current windows seven installation?

-edit 1-

Will all os'es i install store their boot data in uefi system partition, or they will create new system partitions?

-edit 2-

i am going for a clean uefi install anyway right now, and i will edit this post in real time.
i use this tutorials: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/15458-uefi-bootable-usb-flash-drive-create-windows.html; also i will use IRS driver which i am going to add during setup.

Please answer a question if you can, and ask questions and comment. i am a pretty lonely geek.

-edit 3-

i seems recovering a system image created on bios to uefi is not possible due to ... drives configuration has to be exactly the same, including usb media (last one i do not get, hey, microsoft!)

Hi emash,

Welcome to Seven forums.

I understand you are able to install Windows 7 successfully on the system. Do let us know if you were able to use the backup images created earlier.

If you were still facing any issue feel free to reach out to us we would be more than happy to assist you with the same.
