Since I can't boot into my Windows 7 and am reinstalling it, is there a way I can get my key from Windows 8 which I am currently on so I can activate it again?

What do you mean they're different keys?

When I got this laptop, a copy of W7HP shipped a week later, and I installed that.

Now since I have to reinstall W7, I need the key to activate it.

Where in there is it a different key?

Edit: I think you misunderstood me. I meant FROM windows 8 since it is my only operable OS, can I browse my drive that has W7 and get the key somewhere?
