"Recovery" folder in win 7

Hi,

I need some information about "Recovery" folder in win 7. My queries are:
1) After win 7 installation, is it compulsory to have this file in windows partition?
2) Does user allow to delete this file?If yes then what will be the effect on windows after deleting this file?
3) Does this file is also present in windows server 2008? If yes then any other system file that is not present in win 7 and present in windows server 2008 and vice versa (with elaboration)

Moreover, i also need the difference of system files of win 7 and windows server 2008 means which file is present in win 7 and not present in windows server 2008? and what will be the affect of that file, if it could be deleted by user?

What incompatibility is it causing? Let it suffice to say that some Windows functionality depends on it. You should never delete Windows files especially ones that are intentionally hidden and flagged "system". How is this affecting your Windows 7 user experience?
