recovery issues

I would like to recover my computer to its factory settings. When I try I get the same error message: 'Parameter is incorrect' How can I get past this?

First you need to specify what computer you have like model and such
Fill out the system specifications in the user control panel
and then we can give you some advice.

I have dos 6.22, wfwg 3.11, win98, 2000 and xp VHD's available for testing. MS's Virtual PC works great.
Are you running Factory Recovery from boot or from within the Win7 OS? If you can boot the OS try making your Recovery Disks first to have as a backup method. If Recovery then won't run from OS try running it from boot using key given on first screen.

If you can do neither then your choices are to order Recovery Disks from Tech Support or to get a superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything you need is in the blue link.
