I tried doing a recovery last night. I deleted some programs with Revo uninstaller. I was trying to get rid of the bloat ware on my PC. But I think I got rid of something I should have not. My recovery completely said it could not work. It was not working properly. But luckily I had a registry backup right on my desktop. There was nothing else I could have done if not for that. Anyways I got if fixed. But I still want to get rid of all the bloat ware. So I tried doing a recovery after I fixed it. But when I restart my computer and hit F11 It keeps saying remove any media then restart to try again. I am wondering if I messed this up? Or could it be because my drive is encrypted. My partition was locked with Bitlocker. But I tried unlocking it and doing it. But it still gives me the same message. But I have noticed even though I checked the always unlock for this computer it still is locked when I restart the computer. Could this be the problem.

1. If my partition being locked is the problem how do I fix it and keep it unlocked for good (turn it off)?

2. If I did mess something up. Can I fix it and how if so?

3. I just made a my recovery disks just now. So I could go ahead and do the recovery without the partition. But I still want to fix it. Can I do the recovery with the disks just fine.

4. When I do the recovery. Can I choose what programs I want to reinstall on my computer. Or will it reinstall all the bloat ware again?

Is this how you are trying to use the recovery partition?

You will lose all the data you have encrypted.

   Information

HP Recovery Center

Be advised: that this will take the machine back to the point when you first took it of the box.

The "HP Recovery Center" will give you the option to send to backup anything you
don't want to lose, so have backup media available to use if you choose this option.

With the machine off press the power button, as soon as you do that start tapping the F11 key.

It may take several attempts to do this, if the first attempt fails, try again.
That should take you to the HP Recovery Center. When there just follow the prompts.

It is pretty much self explanatory. From the time you boot into F11 (not counting
any backups you choose to make) you should be back on a working desktop in about
30 minutes. After it restarts just follow the prompts again to finish the process.

If your first option is system restore select no, which should take you to system recovery.

You want to try system recovery not system restore, unless you have good restore points!

Using the F11 key does not work. I said that in my post. When I hit it it only pops up and says remove all media and press esc to reboot. I of course removed all media before even doing this. SO I do not know why it will not work. I made a recovery disk today. Will that work. Can I just do it with the recovery disk will it do the same thing. I know about PC Decrapifier. I gave it. But I messed something up. I want to restart completely over with my PC. SO I know it is back to working in perfect shape again. It has started doing funny things not starting all the way not shutting down I have to hold the power button to shut it off. I want to completely recover it. I do not care about my files or programs. I just got this computer like 3 weeks ago.

Yes you can boot the Recovery Disks to reinstall but it will be the factory bloatware install, unless you were provided with a Win7 installation DVD.

Or you can clean reinstall which is actually better than a new computer since most are larded with sponsors' bloatware. Here are some tips based on hundreds done here: re-install windows 7

Until then you can clean up a factory bloatware install using these tips:

Decide which programs you can do without over time, then use Revo Uninstaller in Advanced mode to uninstall them. Revo will first run the Windows uninstaller but when prompted to restart instead click "Next" to delete the bolded hidden Registry Keys and files which Revo cues up.

Monitor whether bloatware uninstalls have corrupted System files by running SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker. Irreparable system files resulting in Performance problems can be remedied by a Repair Install.

Use a lightweight free AV like MS Security Essentials with the Windows Firewall to gain back performance from more bloated AV's.

Monitor Event Viewer>Admin View to google repeat errors to find how others have resolved them.

Clean and order the HD perfectly using free state-of-the-art CCleaner ("Run Cleaner" and Registry tabs) then Auslogics Disk and REgistry defraggers monthly.

Save a Windows 7 backup image externally which may become preferable to the Recovery Disks. Backup Complete Computer - Create an Image Backup

I do not have any disks that came with my computer at all. I have made repair discs. Backup discs, Recovery disks. I was going to do a Image disc. But I do not want to use all my DVD's I have and not have any left to be able to get a windows 7 disc. I need to know how I can windows 7 Os onto a disc. My computer came with windows 7 on it. I did not get any discs with it at all. How can I just reinstall windows 7 and not have any of the HP bloat ware that comes with the computer. That is all I want to do. I do not care about any files or programs. I just want to know how to get windows 7 install onto a disc. I was confused by all that. Witch one do I use to get windows 7 onto a disc to do a clean install. I just want to know where I can go to tell me exactly what to do to get windows 7 Os and nothing else onto a disc. I was told from a guy from HP. That doing the recovery from the partition. I could get rid of everything and only have the stuff I want just windows 7

If you know someone or somewhere you could get a Windows 7 installation DVD, you could use the info in this tutorial at the link below to create an "all versions" installer to install the exact same version that is on the PC now and you could use the activation key on the COA sticker attached to the PC to do the activation with; it may take a robo-call to MS to sort the batch key but that's not a big deal.
