Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit Blue Screen crashes

Hello,
I would really appreciated any help with this recurrent crash problem. It has occurred over 6-8 months unpredictably every 4-6 weeks. I have a Creative X-Fi sound card so I have disabled the board sound card and USB sound device. I have replaced my mouse so that I could get proper Windows 7 drivers but the problem still occurs occasionally.

I have uploaded the report requested.

Thanks,

Errol

Hi,

For some reason the collection application did not pick up any BSOD minidumps (it does this occasionally). Can you check C:\Windows\Minidump and upload anything you find there.

If there is nothing there and you have definitely got bluescreens then can you check the settings mentioned in this post to see if your system is set up correctly to collect dump files when it Blue Screens.

From other information in the folder I was able to see that you have had 4 recorded BSODs
Code:
[FONT=lucida console]
0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xfffffa80094c4060, 0xfffff80000b9c518, 0xfffffa800b27a1d0)
0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff800033c0000, 0xfffff8800a9f4930, 0x0000000000000000)
0x0000003b (0x00000000c0000005, 0xfffff96000131487, 0xfffff88004023ff0, 0x0000000000000000)
0x0000009f (0x0000000000000004, 0x0000000000000258, 0xfffffa8005802b60, 0xfffff800046f0510)
[/FONT]
These types of BSODs are usually software caused, so hopefully this one won't be too hard to fix.

#1 priority is to remove AVG, as it has been known to cause the types of BSODs you are getting.

Code:
[font=lucida console]
Module Name: NVENETFD
Display Name: NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller Driver
Link Date: [COLOR=Red]10/17/2008[/COLOR] 5:01:06 PM
[/font]

Your networking driver needs updating. It is part of the nForce driver package and you should be able to find an update here: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

Thanks Reventon,

- I have updated NVIDIA N-Force Network drivers
- Uninstalled AVG antivirus and installed Shield Deluxe antivirus
- I have uploaded the entire package again which I believe has the missing .dmp file

Your help is greatly appreciated. :)

I was right that it was a networking problem, however it was actually your 802.11n Wireless Adapter Driver rather than your Wired networking driver at fault.

So, go to your Wireless Adapter manufacturer's website (I am not sure which one it will be as several use the driver with the same name) and update the driver.

Reventon,
Sorry to trouble you again but since making all of the above changes I have had 2 freezes requiring manual restart and one blue screen which restarted automatically.
I have rerun the program to collect results as before with the fresh minidmp file and have attached it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There are no dump into it. Please simply go to
Go to C:\Windows\Minidump and copy all of the dmp files to the desktop. Select all>right-click on one>Send to>New Compressed folder. Then attach the zip file to your next post by use of the paperclip icon in the advanced editor.
<---Just upload the most recent one correspond to the day that you got crash please;)

Hi,

Your graphic card driver was blamed with stop code 116. First, please re-install the driver. When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

After that, check out this article for more detail about that stop code 116, which is graphic card related. Hopefully you don't have to replace it.
