Recurring BSOD eventually leads to reactivation of OS

Hi! I upgraded to 7 Pro 64 bit 2-3 months ago after installing more ram than XP would allow for. Shortly after I installed an evga geforce gtx 660 ti and my computer began crashing, especially while browsing the internet and/or watching videos online. I updated the drivers for my gfx card and my mobo and nothing helped.

Eventually my desktop went black on reboot and I was notified in the bottom right corner that the version wasn't genuine. A simple call to windows got me activated again.

I have now uninstalled the gtx 660i and replaced it with my old radeon x550, complete with legacy catalyst drivers, and I'm still crashing; especially while watching videos online.

I hope that wasn't too much information.

Thanks!

Please update your Atheros Extensible Wireless LAN device driver

The latest crashes blame wireless device. So updating the driver to the latest version should most likely solve your issue. If you get more BSOD post the dumps.

Check for the model number in the device manager or under user manual.

Check for driver of that model and update it.

Thanks again! I found this:Belkin USA Site last night, which is similar. This process disabled my adapter and left me unable to roll back or reinstall the ones from the original cd,even after uninstalling them altogether. I eventually restored to a point earlier in the evening. The links are a little different, so I'll try it.

That`s interesting.

The latest dump blames AVAST Software.

Another dump blames firefox.
uninstall firefox and use IE for the time being.

So uninstall avast antivirus and use MSE instead.

Keep us updated. If it BSOD upload the new dumps

I am responding from my phone because my pc is now crashing every 5-10 minutes or so. I did manage to uninstall avast and download mse. However, mse can't update and even a quick scan is impossible.

Also, I have received new info from the bsod screen you may find helpful:

The file aswrdr2.sys is specified.

Thanks again for your patience and help.

Also, the message PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA appeared.
