That is not very optimistic of you, I can quit at any moment and call someone else
to take a look if that is how you feel.

I don't see any Asus services running or software installed.
But I do see a couple of overclocking oriented drivers.

Code:
rtcore64 RTCore64 \??\c:\program files (x86)\msi afterburner\rtcore64.sys
mtsensor ATK0110 ACPI UTILITY c:\windows\system32\drivers\asacpi.sys
Please remove them both.

Oh sorry, didn't mean to come off like that. been a long day >_>. I apologize.

I have now removed both sys files. will clear CMOS one more time to see if it sorted the issue.

EDIT: OK i think that sorted it, the CPU frequency shows as 3.30GHz in BIOS now instead of 3.84GHz
Will double check yet again next reboot.

So far the systems running stable without any crashes. I took the liberty to add 2 additional fans in the 2 empty slots in my case. the extra air seems to make her alot cooler. (sometimes the GPU could run at 76 degrees) A bit too soon to tell for sure though, I'll make sure to keep you up to date.

Also when will it be "safe" to update my graphical driver (Nvidia) to the latest? i downgraded to 314 to make sure its not causing instability earlier. IS there anywhere to read up on it maybe?

Thanks for the update :) .
I don't see any reason why to do so, I also use the 314.22 release.
If you look at the release notes it pertains changes to newer cards so older cards the likes
of mine and yours doesn't really benefit from any optimizations.

But if you feel the the need to update you may do so I'm only suggesting you won't.
If you consider the issue as solved please mark the thread as such :) .
