Solved Recyce Bin Problem Plus Question

Got everything up and running. Then I when to delete something and it goes into my Recycle Bin. When I clicked on the Recycle Bin, nothing was there, but I clicked on "Empty Recycle Bin" and I heard the noise it makes. Now nothing goes in there and there is no button that states "Click to empty recycle bin". Would one have to do with the other? If not, how can I delete my Recycle bin and replace it?

Not if I understand you correctly.

You want the Windows drive to be active.

What do you intend to put on that first partition you made active?

What do you intend to put on the second one?

Are you deliberately using that "System Reserved" partition that Windows likes to make?? You can avoid it if you want to. If you do use it, it should be active.

First question: a big definite NO. There should only one active partition on the drive and that needs to be the one that holds the boot files.

It can either be the System Reserved partition or the Windows partition, but not both. If the Windows partition holds the boot files and the active flag you would not need a System Reserved partition.

If you have got two active partitions, the one without the boot files needs to be made inactive.

That's OK. Only 1 active partition--the System Reserved.

Nothing wrong with that layout.

System Reserved is active as one would expect, the Windows partition holds all your system files and the Recovery partition holds the Windows image that will recover your computer to it's out-of-box factory state.

Did that and nothing showed up.

Update: I installed the SP1 and had to fix 3 failed, of which on fixed 1. But when I deleted something, my recycle bin showed empty and after the delete it, the recycle bin showed full. However, when I when into the recycle bin, the paper wasn't there. So where do I go from here?

This problem has been fixed and it was scary at first, but after I did it, it works like a charm.

#1: Go to file option
#2: Uncheck Hide Protected operating System Files
#3: Click on each drive and the you'll see "$Recycle Bin."
#4: On each drive delete this file.
#5: When you go back to your desktop you'll still see it, but don't worry.
#6: Go back to file option
#7: Check Hide Protected Operating System Files
#8: Click apply
#9: Go To Go.
