I've been searching around trying to find some solution for this...
I've installed Windows 7 on a newly built PC and noticed that when I send files to the Recycle Bin, it will change to the 'Full' icon and can be emptied, but when I open its window up, the contents are not displayed, and they cannot be restored to their original location.
The next thing I noticed was that when I try deleting and restoring files while the Recycle Bin is open it works perfectly - Deleted files will show up in the Recycle Bin and they can be restored. It's only after I close and reopen the Recycle Bin that the apparent corruption occurs.
I have tried deleting the $recycle.bin folders from elevated command prompt but it doesn't work.
Perhaps there's something I've installed (Spybot, AVG etc) which is mucking it up.
Any ideas?
