Recycle Bin's Total Size

Each Recycle Bin deletion shows its file size in Details view. However, I've not been able to find how to show the total size of Recycle Bin's file space. Is there a way to display this number?

Right click Recycle Bin, Properties.
If you meant how do you display the amount in the Recycle Bin, I don't know of any way other than Disk Cleanup.

Welcome to the forums!

You could always open the recycle bin and select all (Ctrl+A), then right click and choose properties.

or another way is use windirstat a nifty little tool that shows you a detailed view of how much disk space you are using

Or if you'd like a scripting approach try the attached file, this is set to check the size of all folders in the Recycle bin on the System Drive (usually C:\$Recycle.Bin) as well as the size of the bin itself.

1. Open a command Prompt as Administrator
2. Change Directory to where the script is stored (e.g. CD "C:\my scripts")
3. Run the script
- To view on screen type cscript foldersizeB.vbs
- To view in a text file type cscript foldersizeB.vbs >Recycle.txt && Recycle.txt

There are three scripts included in the zip file for Bytes, KB, & MB, just change the script name (from foldersizeB, to foldersizeKB, or foldersizeMB) in your CMD for whichever suits.

Yep gotta love the these sort of tools.
I have a favourite for too. Space Monger, see attached.... think I might try yours though, it looks more modern .
