Reduce GPU Temprature by 10° C

Hello Friends i found the trick to reduce gpu temp But it GPU fan is necessary here.
THERMAL PASTE
I don't know whether it works without fan.

Warning : Applying homemade thermal grease can void the warranty on your computer.

Here's How :

Toothpaste Thermal Grease

1. Put toothpaste and petroleum jelly in a small bowl. Use a ratio of 75 percent toothpaste to 25 percent petroleum jelly. Use no-grit toothpaste because grit will interfere with heat transfer.

2. Mix the toothpaste and petroleum jelly with a toothpick. If you are making a large amount of grease, mix the ingredients with a spoon.

3. Fill a syringe with the mixture for ease of application or apply it on cpu , gpu chip with hands.


After you made Thermal Paste now open your processor Heat sink & fan and then apply thermal paste getly on the chip without unlocking it.

Note : Use small quantity of thermal paste.

GPU temperatures aren't an issue these days, they can handle upto 100-105C without problems.

Hum ankur sounds ok mate I personally would be quite wary of using it but I would substitute dimethicone cream for the jelly mate.

Yes, toothpaste can be used as thermal paste (with or without a secondary ingredient) but is only effective for a matter of days, at best. You can find this information all over the internet, so don't fall for it. If you're simply trolling; shame on you.

That's something you don't want to do especially with High end Components

If you can afford to Build you should be able to build properly with out any gimmicks or short cuts simply put

i never heard it used for GPU but some people used it for cpu thermal compound.. even tough it will lose its properities fast as it gets dry from heat.
and you should be careful because tooth paste has some corrosive properities (very good for cleaning some surfaces i might add).. cpu with IHS (integrated heat spreader) is kind of ok but open cpu die is not so good.

it never should be solution on working stable pc..
only for experimental pruposes on pc that you can afford to lose.

Hum perhaps this was wind up then in any case I use Arctic Silver for everything it has never dried out on me.

Yep about the corrosive properties too as after all it is for removal of unwanted deposits on the teeth eh? and well you wouldn't leave it in your mouth all day everyday would you - would you ??

Hiyya chromatica and welcome yes mate I think someone was having a lend - tons of good stuff out there the only thing with AS is you don't get that much.

Have had some good figures using that nano diamond stuff (compound 7 is the finest) and Noctua NH-H1 though both are reasonably thick and need patience when spreading (thick). Coolermaster and MX4 good to for the easiest spread jobs.

Some ideas for spreaders for you in pic the small spatulas good for the small GPU chips

Yeah but one small tube is good for what... 15 uses??

Yeah it is enough if you are just doing your own machines but I do simple fixes for friends who cannot afford the techs (mostly fellow nurses and domestic staff) so I use a fair bit more than average on CPU's and GPU's hence my array of tools.

I also like to experiment to again hence the different thermals I carry.
