Hello guys. Recently I've bought I PowerColor ATI HD 6790 1 GB DDR5 video card. My old one was the 4670 version, though it was from Gigabyte. And oddly enough, my performance seems to have been reduced.

This is my current setup

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+
PowerColor Ati HD 6790 1GB DDR5
ECS GF8100VM-M5
Lc-Power LC 420H-12
Western Digital 500gb Sata2 7200 Rpm 32mb Buffer
3,00 GB RAM
TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-S203B ATA

What could be causing this and what would be the solution?

Thank you

How does that manifest itself.

You could be creating a bottle neck with your setup. You could try overclocking your CPU and see it the proformace goes up. Also that MB is not that great.

With my old graphics card I could run league of legends around 55-60 fps and bad company 2 would start around the 40's then it would drop the 20's . With my new graphics card bad company 2 stays around at the 20's and league of legends around the 40-55's .

I have tried to overclock my cpu up to 2.96 ghz but the temps would reach the 90º C. I got it back to 2,82 and it stays around at 40º-50º when idle and 70-80º in load.

U should post a gpu z screenshot.. its mostly a pci e bus issue in such cases.

Did you properly uninstall the drivers for the old card before replacing it with the new one, and then install the appropriate drivers for the new card?
