Many websites have rules about uploading pictures. For example: They must be a certain format, They must be a certain file size, And some websites worry about how many pixels they have in height and width.

So what are that websites rules?

Thanks

Ok im on ebay looking at their rules. Here is the link.
Adding photos to your listing

Here is a quote of the important rules that i can find.
You can add photos of up to 7 MB in size
  • Try to use a photo that is at least 1600 pixels on the longest side. This will give you a better result. However, we recommend you don't enlarge smaller images to make them 1600 pixels. The photos you use must be at least 500 pixels on the longest side.
  • You can upload photos in these file formats:
    • JPEG (.jpg file extension)
    • PNG (.png file extension)
    • TIFF (.tif file extension)
    • BMP (.bmp file extension)
    • GIF (.gif file extension)
  • If your photo is in JPEG format, it should have a quality of 90 or higher on the 0-99 JPEG quality scale. We'll then optimize it for display in your listing.
So here is just a dumb question. Is your image a *.JPEG or a *.JPG file extension?
I wouldn't think the website would care but you never know.

They have conflicting requirements.
.jpg and .jpeg are identical file types but Mac systems use the latter while Windows recognizes both extensions.

If you already have pics saved to the Pc the best and fastest way to do it is use the Windows Sniping tool and rename it

It will save it in a format likable to Ebay :)
