Regarding genuineness of windows

Hey guyz, previous thread by sum1 relating to my prob spinz my head so help me by just providing the accurate solution. i wanna format my pc and i hv win7 genuine installed on my pc. What if i format it and installed new graphic card? I just wanna knw if it doznt harm the genuiness of my win.

Hello Rein, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Replacing the graphics card alone usually would not affect being able to activate Windows. The motherboard is the main hardware that Windows activation is attached to.

Unless you just wanted to, you do not need to format and reinstall Windows to replace the graphics card. Instead, you could just uninstall your current video drivers, replace the card with the new one, then install the drivers for the new card.

If normal activating online should fail, you should be able to activate by phone.
