Regional settings: period as decimal separator

Hello all,

I have written commercial software that accumulates data from a pilot installation and saves this (in a nutshell). It works all well, HOWEVER when someone has a windows version with different regional settings it saves data with a comma as decimal separator instead of a period. E.g. 3,14 instead of 3.14

This becomes a problem when interpreting data, as I save data in a .csv file with, yes, a comma as delimiter.

So what I want: Include in the installer a registry key or something else that will automatically change this on windows 7/vista if the user has different settings.

How can I achieve this.

OK I already solved it, the values are under: this user\control panel\international in the registry.

Do users always have permission to change these settings?

In order to registry edit you need admin priviledges if UAC is enabled.
