Solved Registered JIT Debugger Not Available

Hey,
Whenever a certain program crashes (Stronghold Kingdoms, in this case), it gives a SECOND error message.
This started when I uninstalled Soluto, but I do not want to reinstall it.

Do those files still exist? Is there a ProgramFiles folder for Soluto still? And the ProgramData file? If so, suggest you d/l the free Revo Uninstaller and see if it can clean up the leftover Soulto mess. A Guy

I've used Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner and removed all traces. There's nothing in the Users\[Name]\Appdata\Local, Program Files, Program Files (x86), or in ProgramData

From what I see, this is often caused by a damaged .net 1.1 install. We have an obvious connection to Soluto, so a reinstall, and uninstall with Revo may correct this. There are some instructions here to disable the Just In Time debugger that may remove that message, but are the programs crashing a result of removing Soluto, or are the errors the only new thing? If the crashes are not new, and there is just the popup that you want to remove, the disabling may help. Be sure to backup your registry, or make a complete system image first.

To disable Just-In-Time debugging by editing the registry


On the Start menu, search for and run regedit.exe


In the Registry Editor window, locate and delete the follow registry keys:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\.NETFramework\DbgManagedDebugger


If your computer is running a 64-bit operating system, delete the following registry keys also:


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug\Debugger


HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\.NETFramework\DbgManagedDebugger


Take care not to accidentally delete or change any other registry keys.


Close the Registry Editor window.

I have heard that one downside of Soluto is that if you uninstall it, all the changes that it made are undone.

It would be a fine time to run sfc /scannow to check Windows 7 files.

I had uninstalled Soluto with Revo Uninstaller and CCleaner, so that's not the problem. The crashes started before I uninstalled Soluto, so I'll just disable the debugger thing.

Yep, Soluto reverts all changes made when uninstalling.

I'm running a SFC scan before I'll disable the debugger, and then I'll run another one after disabling it.

This is a Visual Studio issue at it's root. Do you use Visual Studio? If not, it must still be installed? If you want to disable the JIT debugger:

Aren't the edits made in the Youtube video the same as the ones you suggested earlier? Don't worry, I know how to do registry edits; I've been modding for years

Do you have Visual Studio installed? If so, did you try to disable JIT per the link above the video? A Guy

Just a though: In Safe Mode take a look in Services. I have had other programs do that to me and it was because their services was running and would not let itself be removed. I could disable it in Safe Mode and then remove it.

It might not look like JIT or Visual Studio. In you first post you have a picture. Look for any thing that look like those or and part of them. It's in that computer some where. Try this little program. Google Search Everything. Becareful with downloads this nasty Babylon is attaching it self to a lot of great programs from trusted sites. If you see Babylon don't check no or yes because you will get it either way and you have enough problems as it is. Search Everything can be use in Safe mode also. NOTICE: Search Everything removes things just like regedit but easier. For ever, no backup.

I found what I was looking for at this website.
In the DbgManagedDebugger registry key, the Debugger was still set to Soluto, so it kept going back to it.
