Remove "Run Sandboxed" From Recycle Bin Shell Menu

I know this is minor but I'm used to right-clicking on the Recycle bin and having Empty Trash right on top. Since I installed Sandboxie, the unneeded shortcut to 'Run Sandboxed' appears first now and I nearly click on it every time I empty the trash. Not that it would matter, but it's annoying.

I want SBIE integrated into the shell menu, but not the recycle bin shell menu. [...]

EDIT: Woo-hoo! Found the answer and it's simple as pie!

HKey_Classes_Root\Folder\shell\sandbox ...delete the sandbox key. (Can export it first and save with .reg extension to put back if worried it doesn't work out).

Now "Run Sandboxed" is on the shell menu [for files] but NOT on the recycle bin shell menu [or any other folder menu as Alejandro points out later in this thread]... To re-state, if you want to right-click on folders / Run Sandboxed, do NOT use this... use it only if you are happy enough with right-clicking on files / Run Sandboxed. (You can always go inside a folder and run the exe sandboxed rather than clicking on the folder anyway.)

Who woulda thunk a fix for XP would work! I even rebooted to make sure it wouldn't reappear. :D That made my night!

Thanks for the tip! It greatly paid off to learn to master at least that part of the registry specially since the file associations dialog has been removed completely.
It doesn't suprised me that a XP tip works here. The file association keys are nearly the same sine Win95 anyway :p only small additions on recent versions.

Some of the better written software will give you the option to add or remove items from the shell menu(s); Not simply install them and make you deal with them. :)

@Alejandro - I wish I would have named this topic "Remove Sandboxie from Recycle Bin Shell Menu" because I know this is something many SBIE users would want to know and the thread topic is not specific. I Googled about this some days back and ended up on the SBIE forum where an old thread asked about this and Tzuk <sp?> answered saying it cannot be removed from the recycle bin as the shell integration is global (paraphrased). I don't suppose you know if I can edit the Topic name?

@ carwiz - It's nice when sftw gives options. But SBIE appears to be very well written in general (certainly by reputation) if not for a few foibles... this being one, and the ugly 2D pizza icon being the other. :) Thankfully both can be 'fixed' by the user.

No idea how to edit the title, certainly the alternative is more descriptive!
You could ask in the "Site Stuff" subforum on childout or PM a moderator for assitence.

Back on topic, note that the registry key you deleted affects all folders, not just the recycle bin (which is a normal folder after all). While that achieves the goal, it doesn't comes without side ffects.

Carwiz, unfortunately many programs don't have such options. It's for sure a nice option to have handy.
It's very easy to do it touching a few registry key anyway, which can give support for software that doesn't even provide the option during the install.

I didn't even notice since I would not click a folder to run sandboxed, but only a file (which of course still works great as a shell menu item). But I can see how someone might want to click on a folder if they don't want to fish for the exe, so good to point that out!

EDIT: When I edited the OP title I also clarified it removes the shortcut from all folder shell menus in case people don't read the entire thread. :)
