Solved Registry Entries

A few days ago, I wanted to try out WinAmp. So I installed it. But I decided to stick with Windows Media Player.
Now recently I noticed that (altough WinAmp is uninstalled) there are still a lot of registry entries of winamp...
I attached a screenshot to make it more clear..
Are they ok? And can I leave them there? And wont they do any harm?
Or should I remove them manually?
Or should I do something else?

Thats the problem with installing and un-installing many apps. Junk left in registry. Now there are cleaners (CCleaner) but they can cause more harm than they fix. I would leave it alone unless there is a compelling reason not to and if you intend to install something make a backup just before so if it turns out you dont like it you can restore to just before the install.

One way to get rid of them is to reinstall WinAmp and then uninstall it with Revo ( Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems ). Use the "Advanced" option (you will see). Then in the second pass you have a chance to delete all registry and file leftovers. Just do "Select All" followed by "Delete All".
Revo is pretty safe. I never had any problems with it and I install and uninstall stuff all the time.

I would leave those keys alone because
a) they're safe to be left in the registry even if winamp is uninstalled and
b) because deleting those keys doesn't shrink the registry or has any other positive effect on your computer.

If it comes to constantly installing/deleting new stuff, I must plead guilty, too.
I'm the "never ending beta tester" so I'm quite familiar with sprees through the registry in search of left overs.
In the future just do what zigzag recommended..make a backup of the registry (or set a restore point) so you can go back without hassle and if you want to delete something, follow whs' advice and use Revo

Guys, do you have any experience with Revo Pro? Is it worth the money or the free version does all you need?

The free version is sufficient for uninstalling all programs from the x86 program files. It is excellent. But for uninstalling from the x64 program files, you need the Pro version. Fortunately for now most programs in Win7 64bit end up in the x86 program files.

It's best not to worry about these "junk" entries. They do VERY little if anything to slow your system down.
