First of all, I'd like to apologize for not posting when I said I would.
I needed to get caught up on some yard work, and one thing lead to another, but I'm almost ahead of the game now.

Well...It is nice to hear that your machine is behaving itself, and good news that some of the earlier steps you took helped. Especially Maguscreed's tip on redoing the graphics drivers. A bad set can really mess with the rest of the system.

I believe the graphics processes run through the SB (SouthBridge) which ultimately run through the NB (NorthBridge) on their way to the CPU.

I didin't have any BOSDs since I started following your advice. But I am getting more and more confused about what the real problem is that caused all my past BOSDs, especially when most tests are showing good results.
Your concerns are duly noted.

The Real Problem?
Reading through your thread, and checking your startups I noticed Steam doesn't play well with Skype, any of the torrents. Download Accelerators (all clients) like Akamai NetSession Interface, and one more..Catalyst AI I don't know if that is related to your ATI driver set or not.
There maybe work-a rounds, but I don't know at the moment.
Source: Programs Which May Interfere with Steam,

And I left a pix of how you could possibly run your startups as of right now everything is yes on your last jcgriff. View attachment 210312

Here is a link to properly stop Steam at Startup, but I 'd still check it on the msconfig. Disable Steam from running at startup

That is a lot of traffic with all of that running even through it may not be working at the moment. The Processor Cache is memory it just might be overwhelmed.
Go over all of your BIOS settings, and make sure nothing is set wrong or just load the defaults, save, and exit.

You will want to keep an eye on the Chrome Browser, again I saw multiple instances of it being listed in processes. There may be reasons to have multiples open, but 7 at one time?

Double check that NB heatsink to see if it is on wrong, and how difficult it will be to fix it.

Did you get that NB fan installed?

Edit:
Found link for multiple instances of Chrome open, take a look at the screenshot, there's 7.

Hello Vazzle. I was wondering if anyone took notice of the CPU temps in this post. Per AMD, the max safe operating temp is 62 degrees Celsius. Reaching 68 degrees should be a concern...

Hello James,

I do agree with yout that the temperature is high when the system is performing at full capacity.

Should I maybe buy a better CPU fan than the one AMD provided with the CPU ?

First, what is the make and model of your case? Also, open up the case and check for dust buildup around the h.s.f. If you see any, get some canned air and give it a good blast to clean it up.

Please post back

Hello James,

Thank you for the quick reply.

I'm currently using a Xigmatek Asgard case. It came with one fan in the front and I installed 2 more fans, 1 in the back and 1 on the side facing the CPU and NB/SB.

I also dusted my PC, but there wasnt alot of dust since I clean my PC every 2-3 months.

The case has plenty of airflow. And good news about the dust. Maybe try re-applying thermal paste and re-seating your CPU. If you aren't overclocking the factory h.s.f. should provide adequate cooling. If you are overclocking, or just want the extra security of having nice cool temps, give the Coolermaster 212 a shot. It's cheap, comes highly recommended and does it's job better than most air coolers out there. Are you properly informed on re-seating your h.s.f.?

No need to apologize, life can be its own stress test, I've been rather busy myself.

It may not have shown a BSOD, but your machine did produce a .dmp file, and it still points to:
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x124_AuthenticAMD_PROCESSOR_CACHE

Have you checked that heatsink on the NB?

The system shut-down is a self preservation feature, and high temps will initiate the shut-down.

It was noted here James: regular-bsod-when-im-playing-bf3-gw2-beta- bottom of #post 16

The links I provided to the Republic of Gamers forum discuss MB standoff mounts that were installed improperly, the NB heatsink, and thermal paste.
I have been waiting for some feedback from Vazzle on the NB component starting at Post #12, and 16, but he hasn't responded yet from that direction. Maybe, with your help he will investigate.
