Regular sound muting issue

My sound mutes every... about 1.5 seconds. I have to spam the up and down arrow keys to hear my Skype call.

EDIT: Here's my problem.

When I start up my computer, I get about 1-2 minutes of uncut sound until it mutes. Also, the computer doesn't say it's muted. It just pretends that everything is normal. The only way to fix this is to adjust my sound by at least 1% sound or mute/unmute it. The problem gets increasingly more and more annoying by the minute because the time between mutes shortens. After a while, the first paragraph happens.

Hi, @100ec:

Is this the same computer as the one for which you are being helped at another forum:
https://forums.malwarebytes.org/topic/185948-speaker-muting-problem/

If so, it can be confusing, inefficient, and counter-productive to work simultaneously on the same problem in multiple venues. The helpers cannot know what steps are being taken or changes are being made to the system by other helpers.

It's a "too many cooks" situation.:(

If you prefer to be helped here at sevenforums.com, rather than in your other topic at the other forum, I respectfully suggest that you please notify your helper at the other forum. That way, he can close your thread there and focus his time/effort on others who need help.

<just a friendly suggestion>

Oh... thanks. I just wanted to get this problem over with and not have to deal with it anymore... it's really annoying and I thought: "I should get more help because the OP had the exact same problem." My post was moved to a new thread, so it didn't go as planned.
