Reinstall W7 OS on laptop

My laptop comes with a lot of crapware on it so I was wondering if I could just use my other copy of W7 Home Premium that I bought for my desktop, install it on my laptop, and use the product key on the home premium sticker on the bottom of my laptop?

what kinda laptop? dells have that hidden partition to do a restore of just windows not all that other stuff..... and as far as i know your can do what you suggest. i just did it the other day on an old laptop for a friend wanted a clean restore to sell it used my win 7 disc and his laptops code and worked just fine.

I have an HP. I would like to run a nuke disc and start off with a clean hard drive so that way my computer will run the best.
