Hi,

I've been experiencing a lot of problems with my Windows 7 so I decided to reinstall. However, I only have an Upgrade CD, Professional for 32-bit. I tried to do a clean install but halfway through the installation I get an error of missing files. I bought it via school, and they say it's possible to reinstall. Can you use the upgrade CD only once? If so, are there other ways to do a clean install?

Thank you,

Sanne

Thank you for your reply!

I tried the first tutorial but it didn't work. I insert the CD, it starts setup, but it stops during the installation. The first step is copying Windows documents; it goes to 5% and then I get an error:"

Files needed for the installation could not be copied. They might be damaged/gone. Errorcode 0x80070017.

I also tried the second tutorial but I couldn't copy the files from the installation disk onto the USB, because they were marked as read-only. I'm not sure what I should do now, I can't find anyone with the same problem.
