I tried to reinstall WLM 2011 this morning, and the installer is telling it couldn't. I've done this successfully before. My most recent attempt was to try to install all the Windows Live programs and then delete everything except Mail, but that also failed. Any ideas on how to correct this problem? Thanks.

Could be your malware application, or firewall.

have you tried installing them while in safe mode (F8)?

1) Have you fixed the Windows issue: http://www.sevenforums.com/browsers...t-windows-live-mail-2011-a-2.html#post1563282 ?
2) After that, uninstall Windows Live Essentials via Programs and Featues. Use "Clean Boot" mode. Reboot.
3) Also in "Clean Boot" mode reinstall one program at a time from WLE pack. Don't try to mix any programs from the 2009 version with the 2011. If you use 2009, don't try to install Messenger at all.

roncerr: Thanks. After spending 4 days at this with WLM still not installing correctly, I decided to move to Thunderbird. That transition was pretty smooth. I was mostly concerned about moving email messages from WLM to Thunderbird, but that actually went very smoothly, much to my surprise.
