reinstalled win 7 takes forever for windows to load and??

[FONT=&quot]Hi, I recently reinstalled win 7 from scratch on my Toshiba C655-S5307 and it was running great but lately it seems to take forever for windows to load and the first time I start Google chrome it takes a long time to load and if I close it and reopen it it starts fine. I know I only have 4g of memory, how big of a deal is it to go up to 8g (the max allowed)? Also what/is the best wifi card or usb I can install to speed up the internet (or any other options)? With either of my Realteck cards (rtl8188ce and rtl8191ce) I get about 72mbps and with my Panda USB dongle I get 144mbps but it's a pain because it gets in the way sticking out and sometimes both the card and dongle have a problem saying turn on windows capability which sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. I just came across CPUID that identifies everything in your computer, any experience with this? Thanks alot Mike

Increasing the ram will likely make a difference, as you are running 64 bit win7.

If you check youtube there are probably videos for your machine showing how to do it. It is usually quite straightforward.

Your cpu could ultimately be a limiting factor as well.

Is there a way to speed up my wifi card to make sure it is running as fast as it can, My Panda usb wifi runs twice as fast. I have upgraded to 8gb Samsung ram and My cpu is Intel Core I3 2330M 2.20GHz and it still takes forever to start and shut down and load google but only the first time I start google. If I close google and reopen it it is fine. Thanks in advance, Mike

Open Device Manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?

Google likely using a lot of RAM for background services. Go to "msconfig" and "task manager", and stop google services such as update etc (you will see many services running).

Otherwise a better solution might be to delete and replace your browser (after transferring over all info).

Download FREE version - Driver Easy
or can use CC Cleaner for detection and need paid version for installation (unless they have a special offer)
Here is one I have not used yet but looks promising: Find your drivers. Analyze your PC and your blue screens. (driverscloud.com)

I try to avoid those programs to find drivers.

On Device Manager, right click on the missing driver, properties, Details tab - Hardware ID
Right click on the first ID and copy
Search for it on the internet.
