reinstalling window from recovery

i want to reinstal the window from recovery derive in my sony laptop. can i do this without losing data from derive other than c. if yes then how? plz sumeone help me as soon as possible

If you still have the Sony Vaio Recovery discs that shipped with the computer, you can ease the process by inserting these discs and following the instructions.


Back up any files that you may want to keep before the restore. Once the restore begins, any files not backed up will be lost forever.


Do not allow your computer to run out of battery power or otherwise shut down during the restoration process. This can do serious damage to your computer.

2.Enter your computer's model number (for example, PCV-XXXX), and click List Parts and accessories.
3.Follow the online instructions to order the Recovery Media Kit.

You can reinstall the Windows 7 by the above described method or you can also opt for Windows 8, without losing ant bit of data. I suggest you to try Windows 8 at-least. It is a good choice to opt for.
