I have a Gateway computer which has Windows 7 64 bit installed on it. The boot drive became corrupted and I finally had to reformat partition C:. I have a system repair disk for this system but don't have any other boot disk. I found a partition X: listed on the drive which appears to be a copy of the operating system with most of the files having a .mui extension on them.
Can I recover the system from this partition and if so how?
