Remote Access from anywhere in the world !

Hi everybody,

I never yet tried the remote access control of my PC. So, I'm wondering if I'll be able to access my PC from another country (for example during holiday) or if I'll be able to make basic assistance for a friend in abroad?
Should my PC be turned on always or with "sleep" status could be work too?

I'm running windows 7 Professional and my friend will get his PC exactly with the same configurations as mine (except for the language system: one is french and the other is english!).
So, we are wondering if I'll be able for example to assist him in getting started or troubleshoot some problems?
Does anyone has already tried it with windows 7 ?

Any advices/tips/comments would be appreciated.

hay . I try to use windows 7 built in remote assistant but it is difficult to be established... am using TEAMVIEWER a perfect program to establish a remote connection with any pc in the world here is the link to download ...full compatible with win 7
