Hi, I am wondering how to setup a remote desktop connection so I can access it from the internet.

I am setting up a few computers at the moment with Windows 7 Ultimate in Iceland, and would like to enable to access it from Denmark where I can "take over" with my administrator account whereas the other users are standard users...is that possible?

Because...well...they are not very technical and they get all kind of problems in which I try help them solving remotely...but it doesn´t always work with Messenger.

I have on all computers an administrator account on all computers.

I do not know whether it would be that I would access my account or takeover current user section.

I am thinking something like http://www.192.168.1.254/administrator ?

Remote Desktop can be a very tricky and time consuming thing to setup especially if all the PCs are on the same network.
One of the easiest ways to setup remote desktop is to use Windows Live Mesh. Once You have installed Live Mesh on all the PCs on your network and entered a Windows Live ID (perhaps a company one that all the staff can know the password to) your pretty much ready to go.
All you need to do now is login to http://www.mesh.com/ from Denmark (or install Windows Live Mesh on your PC in Denmark) and remote desktop whatever PC you need access to.

I currently use this to fix the PC problems of clients who live too far away and can recommend it.

Check out Windows Live Mesh at http://www.mesh.com/

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

I use live mesh as well. Works through our corporate firewall and is simple to set up and use. You can also have a common folder to move files from machine to machine.
