Remote desktop connection software for Win7

I'm looking for compatible software that would be extremely user-friendly for someone who is computer illiterate. I'm trying to connect to a friend's desktop to help them with some Windows 7 issues, but they can't seem to follow directions too well and they live a few states away.

I'm not even sure if it exists, but the program would ideally install on their computer and mine and make it very simple to remotely connect to them.

Thanks in advance. I'm currently using Win7 Ultimate 64 bit and they're using Win7 Home Premium 32 bit.

It exists, I use it all the time, and is called Teamviewer. Easy to install, easy to use and is rock solid.

Usually the problem here is trying to get the firewall ports and so forth opened up or router connection forwarding to properly direct the incoming traffic.

You might be able to try something like www.logmein.com to help facilitate ease of use.
