Hello all,
I have a user that is having a problem while trying to access her computer remotely.

I've taken a look at it and made sure that the remote desktop was enabled and she was an active user, firewall is off, and it is connected to the network.

I started troubleshooting and came to realize that some of the remote access services were stopped, and I am unable to start them. It throws give me an error stating that 'Windows could not start the Remote Desktop Service services. Error 1068'.

I ran a chkdsk and sfc /scannow both acknowledge the corrupted files, but are unable to fix them. I've attached the CBS log file. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks W7 Gurus

What version of Windows is running on the computer she is trying to remote in to? If it's Home or Starter, it can't be accessed remotely. Needs to be running Pro, Ultimate or Enterprise in order to be accessed remotely. Home and Starter can only act as RDC clients, not servers.

Teamviewer is the alternate I use in this type of situation.

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
She is running a Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

*I do have other computers built exactly the same and they have no issues.
She can remote out of her computer, but can't get into it with the RDP service.

This is on a LAN. I can't remote in from the network. Her computer is connected to the same switch as mine, I can ping it, and even use Dameware to access her computer remotely. However, as a standard user she does not have access to Dameware.

The issue looks like it has specific remote services that are stopped and I cannot seem to find a way to start them.

Thank you for the continued help.
