Hey folks!
I want to set up "Remote Desktop" on my computer at home and at work over the internet.
Both machines are running W7 professional. I have Verizon FIOS both at home and at work (separate accounts and wiring).
Although home and work computers are located only 800 feet away on my farm, I do a lot of work at home and want a simple way to keep things in sync.
My line of thinking is that if I can do all my accounting work all on the home computer either at home or remotely it would be simpler to keep it all straight.
I attempted to set this up myself using the Microsoft guide I found here... Allow Remote Desktop connections from outside your home network
I've re-traced my steps a number of times but always with the same result, no connection.
Any advice on how to set this up or a better way to accomplish my goal?
Thanks!
