So I'm new to this forum, and I've searched for a thread, and the results come up with more than 12+ pages, I didn't want to sit around and search for a quick answer, in a time of around 2 hours. That's why I just started a new thread. Here's the question.

I'm trying to figure out how to setup the Remote Desktop Protocol, so I can connect my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit machine to my laptop which runs Windows Home 32 Bit.

By the way, I can connect my laptop to my Windows 7 machine through Remote Desktop, but the other way around is my question.

How do I go about doing this?

If you want to connect to the desktop, it will work. But you cannot RDP into a Home Premium machine.

Didnt realize you couldn't RDP into a Home Premium machine for a while and when i found that out I decided to do what Doc Brown is suggesting here.

I tried doing the Remote desktop via Windows, and got it working from my Vista Home Premium machine into my Win 7 Professional laptop, but I needed the other direction, and Windows RDP was sluggish and akward.

I installed TeamViewer in all my PC's in the network, now I can RDP instantly to anyone of them from my command center bedroom.

I have even been able to RDP to friends across town or even my parents house 1000 km away to set up their PC for PS3 Media Server or fix it if they come across problems. That is sluggish a bit, but I just adjust the quality settings for performance vs looks.

I too prefer doing things with stock OS features, but when it comes to RDP, VPN or conferencing TeamViewer seems to me to be the best solution.

Just my opinion.
