I have 2 computers running Windows 7 Pro and remote desktop successfully setup.

The computer that I wish to remotely access has the password log-in screen disabled/bypassed. I do understand that a password is required when using remote desktop which I enter and all is well. But now when I close the remote desktop and physical go to the computer the password log-in screen is present and waiting for the password. How can I avoid the log-in screen following the use of the remote desktop tool?

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

The easiest way to "avoid the log-in screen following the use of the remote desktop tool" is to avoid the use of the remote desktop tool. You can use TeamViewer instead.

If there is some reason why you want to stick with Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection (which I use a lot), then restart the remote computer as your method of disconnecting and it should automatically log on.
