How do I remove the phone bluetooth icon from Computer > Other? I used to use TweakUI for that on XP but it does not work on 7. Any other program I could use for that? All help is welcome!

I m using Nokia OVI suite hence there is a nokia phone browser folder which I can remove only by uninstalling the OVI suite. I guess yours is the similar one.

I do not know the answer but I know what I would try.

1. Control Panel | type Blue in the search box | select Devices and Printers
now see if you can delete the entry from there.

2. Another approach, WIN | type DEVMGMT.MSC | Enter

Locate your bluetooth device there. Rt-click on entry and select Uninstall.

Also have an Asus ha1002xp netbook with Win 7 Ultimate installed.
I don't want to remove my device, I am using the bluetooth on it. Just want to hide the icon as I use alot the other icon, network connections, and it takes too long to reach it at middle of bluetooth icons -the screenshot is just example and does not show all my 7 bluetooth icons there. I am using all my bluetooth devices, so uninstall is not an option.

SOLVED. I found the entries for icons in registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID Deleting them removed icons from MyComputer :)

Np ;) Looks alot cleaner now. Can't say exact entries for icons as every device has different one, but just need to use search by device name inside that key and will find. I personally prefer having only entries there that I really use :)

I've used this fix and removed teh entries from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID. It looks like they must have been referenced from somewhere, as My Computer view is now loading terribly slow.

If anybody needs it - like I did -, here's the soution.
1. regedit, ctrl+f "device name"
2. copy the CLSID in {curly braces}
3. ctrl+f the CLSID you've just copied4. delete everything basically that's found... the one I think removed the item completely from Devices and drives was this one:HKEY_USERS\your-user-id\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace\
Here you'll find the CLSID you've copied earlier, delete it as I said above.
