Remove Local Printer Port

I tried to install/connect a printer using the new Local Port, but the printer had problems. I subsequently deleted the printer. I found out that that port is now an existing one & can not be a new one. I know I don't have to worry about the existing ports removal, but I wondered if it could be deleted from the existing list.

It should delete, yes!

When you delete the printer it should delete port as well!

didn't delete the port. It still shows up under the pull down box under existing ports

OK... I had to look around on my system.... found it!

Open Devices and Printers, click on the printer you wish to delete the port on.
At the top of the window click “Printer server properties”.
Click the Ports tab.
Select the port and click “Delete port”.
