Remove protection from Flash drive

How to remove write protection from an Attache 2GB flash? It has no switch.
This flash served as a Ready Boost in Vista. When I upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate, it stopped working. Somehow it got write protected.
I cannot us Bitlocker to remove the protection , because my computer does not have the [FONT="]Trusted Platform Module Security Device.
All other efforts to remove the protection, like disk management, failed.
Any suggestion? Please
