remove start menu items for new user acc

Hi Guys
Ive set up a new user acc but need to remove some of the programs in the start menu on this acc.The problem is i cant access the start menu folder under users it says its not accessible and also alot of the folders in the users section are marked as shortcuts is this normal.

So you know the path to the folder. C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu.
Have you taken ownership of the folder and its contents?
If you find you can't move some of them (The system ones), you could always set their properties to "Hide". They won't show in the Start Menu then.

Yes, the shortcut folders are normal.

Ok can access that folder now bur where do i move the programs i dont want him to have to.
Ie poker stars lol.Although he can play i dont trust him with my bankroll lol

C:\Users\Your User Name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs.

Some of them might get "recreated" in the All Users. If that happens I copy them to the above folder and then hide the originals

Sure i used to use docs and settings in xp to do this microsoft must have had a rejig.Finding it harder in win7 to navigate as i never used vista.Thanx for all your help.
