Remove strange yellow strip from center of bottom taskbar

A puzzling translucent yellow strip or patch has appeared in the exact middle of my bottom taskbar, about an inch to the right of where my icons are. It looks like there are two words underneath but they are too blurred to read anything. I just noticed it today. Can someone please tell me what it is and how to get rid of it?

I tried to attach a photo because I realize this sounds strange, but I can't figure out how to do that.



Would appreciate your help.

Sorry - didn't realise the photo would display. So in my previous post you can see the yellow part. Baffling.

couple of suggestions,
check it isnt a wallpaper that you have changed recently with the text on it.

...or can you set your taskbar to autohide,temporarily .
to get it to drop out the way to see the text properly.
that will give us a clue how to get rid.
