Removing dual boot options

I moved to Windows 7 from Vista. I had dual boot to Ubuntu but ended up removing the OS and i still get the option to choose this when it is not installed. How do I get this option removed?

Try Start Menu > Msconfig
(Type in 'msconfig' in the search box, without the quotes)
Have a look in the boot area.
But this is a really sensitive part of the OS. Be very careful what you do there.

You can also use a free utility called "EasyBCD" to edit the choices and text.

Easiest of all is this:
[windows key]+[Pause/break] to bring up system panel,
then click Advanced system settings,
Advanced Tab,
Startup and Recovery "Settings" button.
From here you can remove OSs and so on.

When I use the msconfig there is only windows 7 available. The Ubuntu boot option is not there. When I try Easiest of all is this:

it gives me the choice to choose the default OS, but I can't remove the Ubuntu option.
