Somehow Funmoods accidentally got installed on my PC. I know I removed the toolbar from my Mozilla Firefox browser, however I still see it lingering in chat. (i.e. Facebook.) I understand you go to the control panel to remove the program. However, mine does not look right to me or like anything I've seen/read in tutorials. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it. I know I just had my laptop repaired because something happened to it & I had to reintsall windows so I think it's still messed up from whatever had occurred. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Radkin and welcome to the forums

Two choices:

1) Your address bar currently shows Control Panel > All Control Panel Items. Click on Control Panel to get back to the original view
2) Click Programs and Features to get you where you need to be to remove FunMoods.

Wow, I did not even notice that....thank you very much. This is the first up to date computer I've used in years so I'm still learning the newer windows program.

Well, I did that but Funmoods does not seem to be showing up.

No worries. To be honest, it confused the hell out of me when I first saw that page. Windows 7 is great, but if you haven't had a recent Windows version for a while it might be a little daunting at first! Feel free to ask any questions you want.

Could you tell me the steps that you've already taken to remove Funmoods please? And it would be very helpful if you could provide a link to the tutorial that you're following :)

This "Funmoods" is making the 'rounds' and it likes to hide itself!!

Let's see if this tool will help to clean up the mess:

Download AdwCleaner to your desktop

1.Right-click on adwcleaner.exe and select Run As Administrator to launch the application.
2.Click on Delete button.
3.Confirm each time with OK.
4.Your computer will be rebooted automatically. A text file will open after the restart. Please post the content of that logfile in your reply.

Note: You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[Sn].txt as well - n is the order number.

Is that program spyware free?

Well, I didn't really use a tutorial. I remember removing the tool bar. It does not appear in my control panel so I can't seem to remove it that way. I went to their site but of course there is no real thing helping me out. It's just the same stuff that I already did minus the control panel because like I previously stated it does not even come up. I'm not sure what else to tell you to help me out.

Yes, it is :) I'll leave you with Jacee for now as I can't deal with the removal whilst I'm training. You might notice the badge under her name:

. That means that Microsoft recognise her talent, so you can trust her advice :)
