removing screws with a round hole in them

hi mellonhead,

Yes I know that, which is why I said its alot of work. No I'm not going to bother to drill them out. I'm not that patient when it comes to things like this.
Ah, okay. Well, maybe it's time for a new case? Some of the new ones have some great drive mounting options, and some aren't even all that expensive. :)

You can get adapters to enable you to fit 3½ or 2½ drives into a 5¼ drive bay. You could even make your own. This is the sort of thing I'm on about. These are from Maplin, a UK company, but you should be able to find something similar from where you are.

Edit: My personal preference in your situation would be a new case.

Oh thats good. UK is in the Europe which means that I dont have to pay customs :D

Haha yeah its time for a new everything really. I started off with the processor, then the cooling system to handle the bigger processor, then the graphics card and now its back to the cooling for the harddisks. I dont like the idea of having just a single harddisk. Otherwise I'd replace them both with a larger newer one.

Thank you all for all your advise, tips and help :)

yea you have to drill or grind the top off a rivet to remove them and you can replace them after you finish your upgrade or mod
