Removing search toolbars

I want to remove search tool bars from my IE e.g v9.com.
I have disabled it from manage add-ons but it is still there.
Can anybody tell me a software which can permanently remove these add-ons.?

What exact toolbars (give names please).

in internet exploer->view->toolbars. There you can disable them
In control panel you can remove programs. You can uninstall the toolbars as well.

But some toolbars are nasty stuff... kind of virus.

As mentioned above some are way more stubborn than others and require special tools/procedures...

Go through Programs and Features in Control Panel to make sure only programs you know and need are installed. Uninstall all others now.

Regularly check your browser Add On's to make sure only Flash and a Reader is enabled. Under Search remove all but the stable Google search in the browser's Search box where it isn't allowed to spy on you unless you're using Chrome. Then tick the box disallowing any changes to Search choice.

Once these are done in all browsers, install and run a full scan with Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware making sure to decline each one's trial offer and turn off Start With Windows and auto-updater in SAS preferences.

These will help you keep free of all spyware, the worst of which is toolbars, as long as you watch closely what you are including in any downloads at each step before clicking Next.

One is not better than the other.
They look for different things and do different things.
I personally use both and they both have served me well.

Kind of like a anti virus program works and looks for different things compared to a anti malware program.

Super Anti Spyware is basically a cookie finder. Cookies that are use to track you when on line. The Pro paid for version might do more but I don't know because I always used the free on demand version.

AdwCleaner finds little add on unwanted goodies that you pickup on your browsers. In my case it would be I.E. 10 and Firefox.

You need to slow down when you are attempting to download anything. Read everything and uncheck any boxes that are already checked. That is most likely how you got this toolbar. As Greg states, it should easily be removed through control panel/add remove programs.

I have found that many of these PUP and browser add on's do not show up using Add and Remove programs. Most of the time they will not show up using Ccleaner Tool Box.

I don't use SAS so much for cookie removal, although it does find many and I do clean up anything it finds. I use SAS to root out spyware left behind in the registry because it is running at boot when uninstalled, is hidden from the Programs or Add-On's list, or because the spyware is deliberately written to evade uninstall.

I will try AdwCleaner after SAS to see what else it finds. Thanks.

There is a difference between 'spyware' and 'adware'. SAS and MBam don't usually pick out adware...
