Solved Repair install windows through usb

i messed my 7 while messing with the authui file . i need to reppair install it.
my comp dosn't read dvd so please can u tell me hw to install w7 without deleting the files(i can't logon)

didn't work. i tried to set the first boot device to the USB but my comp cant read the USB. Please help.

Too bad mate, the only option I can think of is to use an external DVD reader.

Doesnt look like you tried hard enough. Use a different usb stick and try again. That stick that didnt work, try booting from it on a different computer- that'll tell you whether the stick is bootable or not.

i thought of something.
i run the setup from my xp system.(i have dual boot)
then install it on the corrupted windows 7 partition. will this work please give suggestions

If you can start Win7, then run the installer from the desktop to do a http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html?ltr=R as you intended.

If you can't run Win7, then you can run the installer from your XP partition to clean reinstall over the Win7 partition. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/8057-dual-boot-installation-windows-7-xp.html
