Hi all,
Each time I right click on my favourites to place them in alphabetical order IE 8 seizes. I have tried Tools / Internet Options / Advanced Reset. I have also turned it off & back on again via Control Panel but the problem remains.

I have visited the Microsoft web site to try & download IE 8 to re-install it. I go round in circles, until I finally opt for downloading IE8 for Vista. (The only one I can find) When I try to install I'm told that my operating system does not support IE8 yet I'm running it!

Any sugestions please?

Regards,
Roy.

If you already have IE8 it cannot be uninstalled or reinstalled. The best you can do is turn it off. That being said, go to tools>internet options>advanced>reset. The problem is most likely not IE8 but one of the add ons. My instructions will remove them. You can replace one byone until you find the problem.

Thanks for the reply Richard. I tried removing the Ad-ons which didn't work. I was going to dump IE8 & use Firefox. Unfortunately I can't sync my bookmarks with my iPhone with anything other than IE.

I finally fixed the problem though. I deleted all bookmarks in IE then imported them from Firefox. IE is now fixed & has a spring in it's step!

Thanks again for taking the time to reply.
