HI,
My computer is a Dell Studio XPS 16 laptop. It has been crashing and giving BSOD many times a week. So, I reverted back to the factory default image. However, it is crashing again. Though it has not shown a BSOD, it freezes and has to be powered off. When booting, even before I login, it automatically restarts itself. This is very frustrating and I need your assistance. This happend today morning 06/09/2011 between 9-10:00 AM. I am uploading the event viewer logs and a snapshot of the event. Do let me know if you need any additional information.

Basic System Spec
- x86 (64-bit)
- Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit
- OEM Version
- Age of hardware = 1 Year
- Age of OS installation - 3 days (reverted back to factory settings due to repeated crashes)

Moe information in my profile

Preliminary Results - Errors in RAM Test

mgorman87,
I ran the RAM test with Memtest86+. In the 5 tests that ran so far, there were 18,432 errors. I am assuming that this is disastrous and indicates issues with memory. Please let me know if that is the case. Since my computer is within warranty period, do you think this is enough for me to request Dell for replacing my memory? Do you think the other tests are even necessary at this time? I appreciate your assistance in this matter.

thanks!

I wouldn't mess with any more tests. Let Dell know what you did and the # of errors it came up with and hopefully they will replace it.
