Repeating video problem

I'm posting here as my PC has video on board.

Intel DH55HC mobo, Win 7 64.

My monitor has a greenish tint to it, so I used the Intel Graphics & Media control panel to increase a bit the red color.

However, frequently (but not always), after boot the greenish tint is back.
When I open the Intel control panel the red setting is there, I click OK and that's all to fix (as if Win had not stored the previous setting or deleted it).

Thanks for your help,

First, I've been using this monitor for quite some time with XP. This never happened until I upgraded to 7.

Besides, just after installing the new mobo & 7 I went to the Intel site and updated all drivers. Just to make sure I checked it again today, no new updates.

Why does 7 has to be sooo perfect that everything else may be at fault but it?

No need for attitude, simply checking the most obvious sources of problems first.
Sorry I offended you, I'll let someone else help.

Windows 7 isn't perfect, (people that frequent these forums know that better than most) no operating system is.
You sure have a funny way of asking for help.

Wonder if what Greg said in another thread of yours might possibly be the cause,

http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/140948-help-new-user-first-post.html

Also is this a recent thing or been like that since installing Windows 7? If it is a recent thing then it is possible that the monitor and/or cable is going bad and not an Intel or Windows problem at all. Have you or can you try the monitor on a different computer.

It has been like this from the install.

Re what Greg said, everything else is stable, so I doubt it is related to the porting (that MS supplies tools to do from Vista but not from XP...).
Re the CPU load in my first post, it is related to the program not been able to use all of the i3 for some reason (not I/O bound according to resource monitor). The Cinebench benchmark uses 100% CPU

I have Intel's latest driver.

I don't know if it matters, but in Intel's setup my LG monitor is correctly identified, while for Windows it's a generic PNP monitor.

There's no firmware for the W1934S in this site. Other code or just false link?

Google couldn't find any other site, so I suppose there's no firmware update for the monitor.

I have Intel's latest driver.

I don't know if it matters, but in Intel's setup my LG monitor is correctly identified, while for Windows it's a generic PNP monitor.

And that was the problem. Windows 7 Plug&Pray did not recognize the monitor.

Once I found out where to specify the monitor model to Windows 7 the problem was gone.
