Hello, I am new to the forum, so I am not sure if this is the right category for my question.

I am preparing to install a new SSD in my Dell Optiplex 9010; I will clone my existing drive to the new SSD. However, before I do that, I want to make sure that the OS Windows 7 Professional 64bit is working properly. Currently, I am not aware of any issues, but I am not a high tech person. So to insure that all the drivers are working properly; is there a way to extract the drivers from the original CD - I have both the OS & the Driver CD, and replace them. Or, is there another process to use. I have read the post http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3413-repair-install.html, will this process repair any driver issues.

I would appreciate any help, thank you for your time

Hi ... A Repair &Install will not help with Driver issues ... You should always use the Manufactures Website for Drivers ...

As your CD Drivers is likely to be out of date ...

Product Support | Dell US

If you decide to do a Clean Install ... Install the Chipset of course after you have a Network Connection ...

Then run Windows Updates .. As that should provide you with most of the Drivers ...
