I just had to replace Modem router 2 motherboards & internet switch due to hurricane harvey. The switch was the last item and I have found that I can no longer connect shared folders etc. through windows explorer. I probably shouldn't say this but I work on computers for people who cannot afford to pay for retail help and this has got me stumped. Over the years I have used many setups and switched components without much problem but this switch has got me. It is a Netgear FS205 v.2.0 and runs off of it's own power adapter. I have checked & rechecked the settings on all 5 of my Windows 7 computers & they are set right, my ZoneAlarm extreem Security is the same for years no changes other than the netgear dual band router arris surfboard sb 6141 modem & they replaced identical or simular units. Any ideas are sincerely appreciated.:(

The switch is downstairs connected to one of the lan outputs on the netgear router a Netgear AC1200 867 Mbps 10/100 Wireless AC Router R6100-100NAS by a cat 6 lan cable. I can access the internet from all computers only problem I have is being unable to see and access the other computers from any one connected to the switch. cannot ping from one to another, general failure.

Thanks

The third one shown I have no idea what it is unless it is related to the NetB Scanner.

Thanks,

So its getting through it seems you have more than one master browser there should only be one. Can you see pc now that tool scans and often fixes the problem. Its most likley the firewall if router is changed it sees it as a new network
