Replacing .dll in 64bit OS to change theme

Hello..... im new here in forums. and i dont know if this is the right place to post this thread.

well i got my newly created themes for windows 7 but after replacing the.

Explorerframe.dll
Themecpl.dll
Shell32.dll

in 64bit after restarting the explorer never shows again and have to restore to back where it was...
in 32bit its works fine. since im creating a themes. but these three .dll files dont work in 64bit. only in 32bit.

Welcome to the forum.

Those DLLs are different for a 32 and 64 bit OS and are by no means interchangeable. A 32 bit process cannot use a 64 bit DLL and a 64 bit process cannot use a 32 bit DLL. For a 64 bit OS you will need to create 64 bit versions. 32 bit DLLs go in windows\SysWOW64 while 64 bit DLLs go in windows\system32. I know it seems strange but that is the way it is.

Please note that I have no experience with creating themes and have no interest in doing so.
